Felicia was first engaged with the Center as a graduate student in the Davies Lab at Emory University. Her work focused around exploring the kinetics of dirhodium catalyzed carbene C–H insertion chemistry, working in collaboration with the Blackmond Group at The Scripps Research Institute.

In 2014 Felicia graduated and joined the MacBeth group at Emory University as the CCHF Communicating Chemistry Postdoc. In this role Felicia both carried out research and coordinated how the CCHF communicated Chemistry.

In January of 2015 Felicia took a faculty position at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.
