CCHF Invited Seminar at Spelman College

02/2014

Kathryn Chepiga presented her recently published collaborative research between the Davies and Jones groups within the CCHF on the synthesis and application of a heterogeneous dirhodium catalyst towards C-H Functionalization in Continuous Flow Reactors.

The students had the opportunity to question Kathryn after the talk, some of which included:"How do you separate out and measure enantiomeric?", "How do you choose a research group in graduate school?", "What is the impact of this work on pharmaceuticals and what will you do to impact pharmaceutical research in the future?".

The seminar was organized by Felicia Fullilove, the CCHF Communicating Chemistry postdoctoral fellow, in collaboration with Dr. Lisa Hibbard, Professor of Organic Chemistry at Spelman College.
