The Yu Group report their latest advance in investigating copper-catalyzed directed C–H Functionalization.

By employing a readily removable directing group an arylboron reagents are introduced in a direct fashion providing a streamlined entry to biaryl compounds, chemical motifs of significant pharmaceutical interest.

This work adds to the ongoing program in the Yu group exploring copper-catalyzed C–H Functionalization.
