The Marder and Blakey Groups have collaborated to develop a novel technique to functionalize benzobisthiazole and thiazolothiazole building blocks, useful components in a variety of organic electronics devices.
Using a palladium/copper cocatalyzed C–H bond functionalization approach allows a one-pot procedure for introducing substituents at the thioimidate positions.
