In March 2017 the CCHE held the sixth in its series of Virtual Symposia, focused on advances at the cutting-edge of C–H functionalization, and broadcast for free to the broader scientific community.
Each meeting in this series aims to provide a balanced overview of the field of C–H functionalization. In order to do this we organize the event to include two talks from CCHF faculty members and two talks from experts in the field from outside the Center. The speakers for this session were:
- Prof. Seth Marder - Advances, Challenges and Opportunities for direct C–H bond Functionalization in Materials Chemistry
- Prof. Sarah Reisman - C–H Functionalization as a Strategic Tactic in Natural Product Synthesis
- Prof. Erik Sorensen - Seeking opportunities for C–H Functionalization methods in Natural Product Synthesis
- Prof. Peter Zhang - Stereoselective Radical C–H Functionalization via Metalloradical Catalysis
Over 1250 Audience members tuned in from over 100 locations from across 14 different countries. The speakers gave fantastic talks and answered questions from an active chatroom.
If you are interested in finding out more about the next in this series, please complete the interest registration link on the sidebar. We plan to hold these symposia every 4 months.
These events are recorded and the edited videos will be posted online in our OPEN program 3 months after the live event.
